In Anapa, several dozen people blocked the road due to power outages. Footage from the scene is published by Kuban telegram bloggers Max Anapsky and Vyacheslav Revun.
According to them, there has been no power in the area for three days, and people who came out to a spontaneous rally occupied the roadway at the intersection of Shevchenko and Ivan Golubets streets and “ Only ambulances are allowed through.”
A representative of Rosseti came to see them. After the conversation, generators were brought to the site, and a new transformer began to be installed at the substation, but the locals refused to leave. The Anapa mayor’s office promised “to power the substation within 30-40 minutes after replacing the equipment.”
Police are also present at the intersection; no arrests have been reported to date.
Today, residents of Krasnodar also came out to a spontaneous rally, blocking several streets in the Rossinsky microdistrict. Two people were detained there.
In Anapa, Krasnodar and other cities of the Krasnodar Territory, as well as in the neighboring Rostov region and Adyga, emergency outages of electricity, water and communication interruptions.
The Ministry of Energy explained this by “high seasonal consumption caused by summer temperature maximums.” On July 16, one power unit of the Rostov NPP failed, after which rolling blackouts began.
