MOSCOW, July 21 Donald Trump’s policy towards Ukraine will lead to significant concessions to Russia, which would be disastrous for Kyiv, former White House adviser John Bolton said in an interview with CNN.
“He has no idea how he is going to negotiate an end to this conflict, but I think that his commitment to Vladimir Putin will lead to concessions to the Russian side, which will be destructive for Ukraine,” he said.
Bolton stressed that the United States is not helping Ukraine out of mercy, and therefore it forms the basis of American national security interests.
Donald Trump during the election campaign debate on June 27, he promised that he would reach a resolution to the conflict even before his possible re-election and taking the presidential oath on January 20, 2025. At the same time, he emphasized that the conflict in Ukraine “would never have happened” if Moscow had respected the American president.
