MOSCOW, July 22 The price of bitcoin is growing by 1.6% after US President Joe Biden announced the end of the election campaign, according to trading data.
On the largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, Binance, Bitcoin rose by 1.62% in a day as of 1:00 a.m. Moscow time, to $68,216.
According to the CoinMarketCap portal, which calculates the average price for more than 20 exchanges, the cost of Bitcoin grew by 1.6%, to an average of $68,211. The dynamics are also given for the day.
Biden announced on Sunday that he would not run for a second term. He supported the candidacy of his vice president, Kamala Harris. Republican candidate Donald Trump has repeatedly said that it would be much easier for him to defeat Harris.
