The “warmed up” four-door has changed on the outside, plus the equipment has been improved. As before, the model is available with a one and a half liter turbo engine.
The presentation of the standard updated Honda Civic sedan and hatchback was held in the USA in May. Now it’s the turn of the modernized “charged” four-door with the Si prefix. Let us remind you that this version has been present in the range of the American model since the 1980s: this modification is one step below the truly evil Civic Type R.

The regular Civic in the States, after restyling, lost both the 1.5 turbo engine (183 hp, 240 Nm) and mechanics. But the sedan and hatchback there got a hybrid version with an installation based on a two-liter naturally aspirated engine (hybrids have been present in other countries for a long time). But the “warmed up” Honda Civic Si was left with a 1.5 turbo-four: it still produces 203 hp. and 260 Nm and is still combined exclusively with a six-speed manual.

At the same time, the company said that now the Civic Si has become even more driver-friendly: the speed synchronization system has been taught to perform throttle shifts when switching from 2nd to 1st gear. Now it can automatically perform throttle reversal on all downshifts, synchronizing engine and input shaft speeds in a lightning-fast 430 milliseconds. In addition, rigidity was added to the body of the updated Civic Si, and the suspension was reconfigured.
In terms of design, the restyling program is similar to the standard model. The Civic Si sports sedan received a new, more aggressive front bumper and a larger radiator grille. There are also new 18-inch wheels, and the Urban Gray Pearl shade has been added to the body color palette.

A virtual instrument panel (10.25 inches) and a multimedia system with Google services were installed in the cabin (as before, the Honda Civic Si has a 9-inch screen by default). The front sports seats are heated. There are still red accents inside. Finally, the Honda Sensing complex has been modernized: in particular, the operation of the auto-braking system has been improved — it more quickly recognizes pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists.

The updated Honda Civic Si will go on sale in early August. The price has already been announced — from $29,950 (hereinafter — excluding taxes and delivery), which is equivalent to approximately 2.6 million rubles at the current exchange rate. A standard restyled Civic sedan with naturally aspirated 2.0 (160 hp, 187 Nm) and CVT costs from $24,250 (about 2.1 million rubles).
