MOSCOW, July 24 The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) issued an official warning to American basketball player Nalyssa Smith on its official website for using an acne drug.
The athlete did not receive permission before using the banned drug spironolactone, which she took under the supervision of a doctor in connection with a diagnosed disease.
Since the positive sample of 23-year-old Smith on June 2, 2024, was taken out of competition, the basketball player is not subject to disqualification. After the incident, the American received permission for therapeutic use of this drug in the future.
