MOSCOW, July 24 Roma leaders held an official presentation of the team's new stadium to the mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri, according to the website of the Italian football club.
The construction of the arena is planned in the Roman district of Pietralata in the northeast of the city. The stadium project includes the largest and most capacious home fan stand in Europe.
Roma's new stadium is expected to be built in time for the club's centenary — by 2027. Currently, Roma and their main rival Lazio share one arena — the Stadio Olimpico, which seats more than 72 thousand spectators.
