MOSCOW, July 25 American entrepreneur Elon Musk called the Democratic Party The United States is openly anti-Semitic against the backdrop of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech in Congress.
The entrepreneur made this statement on the social network X in response to a post by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The congresswoman said Netanyahu “lost many,” which is why only part of the US Congress attended his speech.
“The Democratic Party has become openly anti-Semitic,” Musk wrote in response.
Earlier, the Axios portal, citing its own calculation, reported that approximately half of the Democratic members of the US Congress did not come to Netanyahu’s speech at a joint meeting of the chambers of Congress on Wednesday. According to Axios, Netanyahu's speech was missed by former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Ocasio-Cortez. As the portal notes, the boycott of the Israeli prime minister this time was “much more widespread” than during Netanyahu’s speech before Congress in 2015, when 58 Democrats missed his speech.
On Monday, before flying to Washington, Netanyahu said that he would personally thank current President Joe Biden for his support for Israel and tell the US Congress that Israel is the most important US ally in the Middle East, regardless of the results of the presidential elections. In the US, the Israeli Prime Minister will meet with Biden on Thursday, separately with Harris, and on Friday with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
