MOSCOW, July 24 Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his birthday and noted that he would be glad to continue the constructive dialogue and close collaboration for the benefit of the two peoples; the corresponding telegram was published on the Kremlin website.
Mirziyoyev celebrates his 67th birthday on Wednesday.
“»Dear Shavkat Miromonovich, I cordially congratulate you on your birthday… I warmly remember our recent fruitful negotiations in Tashkent. I will be glad to continue the constructive dialogue and close joint work for the benefit of the friendly peoples of Russia and Uzbekistan,» the telegram says.
Putin emphasized that Mirziyoyev’s compatriots respect his presidency. In addition, he enjoys high international prestige. According to him, under the leadership of Mirziyoyev, Uzbekistan has strengthened its position on the world stage.
“It is difficult to overestimate your personal contribution to the development of relations of strategic partnership and alliance between our states, productive bilateral cooperation in all directions,” the President of the Russian Federation added in conclusion.
