Turkey became the debut market for the fresh crossover of the French brand. Moreover, the model is sold there simultaneously with its predecessor from Dacia. The new product is offered with a dual-fuel engine and hybrid units.
Under the Romanian brand Dacia, the third generation Duster SUV on the CMF-B platform was presented in November last year. A full-fledged presentation of the model under the Renault brand took place in the spring of 2024: it was held in Turkey, because it was the Turkish plant that became the main production site for the Renault crossover (Dacia Duster is made in Romania). So, now in this country the specifications and prices of the new Renault Duster have been announced and sales have started. It is curious that Dacia cars are also officially presented on the Turkish market — including the previous, “second” Duster. However, the “third” SUV there will obviously be available exclusively as a Renault.

Externally, the crossover of the French brand differs from its Romanian brother in the design of the front end. This Duster has an original radiator grille, and instead of the usual diamond shape, it has a large Renault inscription on it. The dimensions of the cars are also generally the same. The length of the new SUV is 4343 mm, the wheelbase is 2658 mm. The passport ground clearance, depending on the modification, varies from 209 to 217 mm. The interior is the same as that of the Dacia Duster, not counting the emblem on the steering wheel: even the Romanian company’s signature “Greeks” were left in.

The Turkish Renault Duster also shared equipment with the “Romanian”. The basic crossover is equipped with a three-cylinder 1.0 TCe LPG engine that runs on gasoline and propane (maximum power — 100 hp). This version has a six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. The next oldest version in the price list is, oddly enough, a full-fledged front-wheel drive E-Tech hybrid with a 1.6 four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine and an electric motor, its total output is 145 hp. And at the top of the range is the mild-hybrid 130-horsepower Renault Duster with a 1.2 TCe petrol turbo engine, a 48-volt starter-generator, 6MT and all-wheel drive. The new generation twin crossovers do not have diesel engines.

The new Renault Duster with 1.0 TCe LPG costs from 1,249,000 Turkish lira, equivalent to approximately 3.3 million rubles at the current exchange rate. The price of the E-Tech hybrid starts at 1,530,000 liras (4.05 million rubles), and the all-wheel drive mild hybrid Duster will cost at least 1,580,000 liras (4.18 million rubles). The previous generation Dacia Duster crossover available in Turkey does not have hybrid versions, and the equipment is poorer. But it has a diesel engine plus more all-wheel drive options. The price of the “second” Dacia Duster is from 1,189,900 liras (3.15 million rubles).
Later, the new Turkish-made Renault Duster will reach other countries. However, there is no exact list of export markets yet. Most likely, it will include the Middle East and Africa.
