The expert assessed the chances of success of Netanyahu’s plan to create an anti-Iran alliance

TEHRAN, July 25 Israel is concerned about the normalization of Iran's relations with countries Persian Gulf, so he proposes to the United States the creation of an anti-Iranian alliance, intending to return tension to the region, but his plans are not destined to come true, said Iranian economic and political analyst Ruhollah Modabber.
Earlier on Wednesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel proposes to the United States to create a new alliance in the Middle East, similar to NATO, which will be directed against the “threat” from Iran. As the politician noted, any country in the region that normalizes relations with Israel should receive an invitation to join this alliance.

«This Netanyahu plan will in no way be implemented in the Middle East region… The goal of Israel and Netanyahu in bringing these issues to the table is to return tension to the Persian Gulf and Middle East region,» Modabber said.

He stressed that the entire project of the alliance proposed by Netanyahu is “advertising and deceitful” from the very beginning, but one should not forget that “Israel intends to implement effective threats against Iran.” However, the expert noted, Israel will threaten alone — only the United States and Great Britain will support it, as before: Tel Aviv is concerned about the normalization and increasing strengthening of Tehran’s relations with the Gulf countries, but Iran’s relations with these countries will not worsen at all.
Modabber recalled that this is not the first time that the Israeli Prime Minister has put forward a proposal of this kind, while Arab countries have already responded with a decisive refusal. According to the expert, Netanyahu proposed the creation of such an alliance because of his anger at the failure of the operation in the Gaza Strip, which became “obvious evidence of crimes against humanity,” and also as a threat. Iran, the analyst continues, has always responded decisively to Israel, “the creation of tension, provocation and threat to Iranian interests on the part of Israel will entail a tough direct response from Iran.”
