MOSCOW, July 26 The Russian Ministry of Culture and the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation have launched a project for veterans of the special military operation and their family members, according to which they will be able to visit federal cultural institutions free of charge as part of the project, the press service of the department reported.
«The Russian Ministry of Culture and the Fatherland Defenders Foundation have launched a joint project for veterans of the SVO. Veterans of the special military operation and their family members will be able to visit federal cultural institutions free of charge as part of the project,» the statement said.
The head of the department, Olga Lyubimova, noted that today it is especially important to provide comprehensive support to participants and veterans of the special military operation, their families and children. “And cultural institutions are actively involved in this work. Together with the Defenders of the Fatherland foundation, we have already launched social events for veterans of the Northern Military District. But they were implemented in a targeted manner, and now we are preparing an all-Russian project,” the minister said, as quoted by the press service.
At the initial stage, federal cultural organizations are participating in the project. At present, the repertoire calendar has already been formed and will be updated.
“The main goal of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation is comprehensive rehabilitation and support for our heroes and their families. Educational cultural events have a therapeutic effect, especially when they take place in the company of loved ones and like-minded people. Therefore, it is so important to centrally develop a program for visiting cultural institutions, which will work throughout all regions of the country,” said Hero of Russia, member of the supervisory board of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation Alexey Romanov.
It is emphasized that from July 25, as part of the project, veterans of the Northern Military District and the families of heroes can visit federal museums and museum-reserves for free, from August 1 — cinemas included in the Kinoprokat Fund program, from August 25 — circuses included in FKP «Rosgostsirk» system. Federal theaters and philharmonic societies will join the project at the beginning of the theater and concert season.
On the portal «Culture.RF» a special section has been created — a poster for veterans of the Northern Military District, where further dates for free visits to cultural organizations will be published, as well as the necessary conditions for attending the event.
