On the morning of July 27, the Russian Defense Ministry reported 24 downed Ukrainian drones in seven regions.
According to the military department, seven Ukrainian drones were «intercepted and destroyed» in the Kursk region, three in the Belgorod region, two in the Rostov region, one each in the Bryansk and Lipetsk regions. Another seven drones were shot down in the Ryazan region.
Later, the Defense Ministry reported that three more drones were shot down in the Belgorod, Ryazan and Saratov regions.
At the same time, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported a massive attack on the region. According to him, air defense systems shot down 22 Ukrainian drones overnight. «There are no casualties or damage, all attacks have been repelled, all targets have been destroyed!» Bogomaz wrote.
As Astra writes, Ryazan residents reported explosions in the morning and at night, including in the area of the Dyagilevo military airfield and the local oil refinery. «According to preliminary information, there are no casualties or material damage,» wrote Ryazan Region Governor Pavel Malkov.
The head of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, said that the UAV was shot down in Engels. According to him, there were no casualties or damage as a result of the falling debris. In the Lipetsk region, a drone fell near a residential building in the village of Ratchino, said Governor Igor Artamonov. There were no casualties, but the glass in the house was damaged.
Later, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that in the village of Murom, a drone attacked a passenger car driving along the road, one passenger was injured, and the car burned. The attacks also damaged power lines — part of Shebekino, the villages of Novaya Tavolzhanka, Arkhangelskoye, Murom and Nekhoteyevka were left without power.
In the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region, «an explosive device was dropped from a Ukrainian copter onto a passenger car at a railroad crossing,» Acting Governor Alexei Smirnov wrote. The driver and passenger were injured.
In addition, the airports of Kazan and Nizhnekamsk suspended operations on the morning of July 27 «to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights.» The restrictions were lifted an hour and a half later. Rosaviatsia did not specify what exactly they were connected with.
