The new B-segment SUV has taken the place of the entry-level model in the hierarchy of the Chinese brand. The Russian market turned out to be the debut for this SUV.
The Jetour brand belongs to the Chinese company Chery, its current model range on the Russian car market includes the brutal T2 car, the Dashing, X70 Plus and X90 Plus crossovers. Now they decided to supplement it with a compact SUV Jetour X50, the local debut of which took place last weekend as part of the Chinese Motor Show 2024 exhibition of Chinese cars (the event took place at the MTS Live Hall).

It is known that this new product has taken the place of the entry-level model in the hierarchy of the Chinese brand. Officially, Jetour X50 was announced for the Russian Federation in early spring of this year. As Kolesa.ru reported earlier, the SUV is based on the Soueast DX5 model (this brand now also belongs to Chery). The overall length of the Jetour X50 for the Russian market is 4397 mm, width – 1841 mm, height – 1654 mm, and the distance between the axles is 2601 mm. Note that in size this crossover is close to Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, Belgee X50 and GAC GS3.
< p>During the presentation of the SUV in the local office of Jetour, they told about its «filling». On the Russian market, the X50 will be offered only with front-wheel drive, independent suspension of the MacPherson type at the front and «multi-link» at the rear. The base model is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine, the output of which is 113 hp, it works in tandem with a five-speed manual transmission. Also in the lineup there is a 147-horsepower turbocharged engine with a volume of 1.5 liters, which comes complete with a six-speed preselective robot with two clutches.
The Jetour X50 equipment list for the Russian market includes an infotainment system with a 10-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. There is also a wireless charging function for a smartphone, plenty of storage space for small items in the cabin, two trim options — two-tone light and black, a virtual instrument cluster, visually combined with a multimedia display.
The seats are upholstered in eco-leather, and the interior trim of the doors received a decor in the form of a geometric pattern created using laser engraving. The Jetour X50 has an air conditioning control unit that is a separate panel. The SUV is equipped with an intelligent voice assistant that recognizes commands in Russian and English, as well as a 360-degree view system, rain and light sensors, airbags and curtain airbags.
The crossover received a massive chrome radiator grille with a pattern of curved vertical double lines, as well as LED optics. The new product has traditional exterior mirrors, regular door handles, roof rails. The stern was decorated with a spoiler on the upper part of the trunk door, a brake light is integrated into the center. The basic «X-fiftieth» was equipped with a set of original 17-inch wheel disks, for the richer versions 18-inch wheels are available.
During the presentation at the local office, the starting price of the new product was revealed — 1,990,000 rubles (this is how much they will ask for the version with mechanics). According to the plan, sales on the Russian market should begin before the end of the third quarter of this year.
