In the new generation, only the crossover with the older 2.0 turbo engine can be all-wheel drive, while the previous model also has a 4WD version for the base 1.5T engine. Sales of the fresh «seven» are promised to begin before the end of summer.
A teaser of the new, second-generation Haval F7 crossover intended for the Russian Federation was published a week ago. Now the Russian office of the brand has fully revealed the exterior design and shared details about the technology and equipment. Let us remind you that if the previous «seven» is an independent model, then the next generation is positioned in our country as a crossover, which has been presented in its native China since 2021 under the name Shenshou (from Chinese it can be translated as «beast» or «monster»). By the way, the predecessor in Russia is also available in the form of the F7x «coupe». In the Celestial Empire, Haval Shenshou does not have such a modification. However, two years ago, a coupe-like version was caught there. That is, it is possible that in Russia the F7 will still retain both body styles, but the new “coupe” will be presented later.

The «second» crossover is based on the Lemon2 platform. The dimensions of our version have not yet been disclosed, but most likely they are the same as those of the Haval Shenshou for China. That is, the new Haval F7 is larger than its predecessor, except for the reduced height. The dimensions of the Chinese Shenshou: 4780/1890/1675 mm, wheelbase — 2800 mm. For comparison, the dimensions of the previous Russian «traditional» SUV: 4691/1866/1690 mm, the distance between the axles is 2725 mm.
The exterior features of the new F7 include two-tiered headlights (the running lights located on top consist of three LED lines), a solid radiator grille with chrome horizontal stripes, retractable door handles and Y-shaped taillights.
The interior has not yet been shown – Haval has limited itself to a verbal description. Apparently, the F7 has also repeated the model for China inside. It has a display of different screens: the instrument panel has a diagonal of 12.3 inches, the multimedia touchscreen is 14.6 inches. Some functions can be controlled by voice – for example, open the panoramic sunroof or windows, turn on the climate control. The Russian crossover is also promised built-in Yandex services, a projection display, heated and ventilated seats, all-round cameras, adaptive cruise control and “much more.”

The new Haval F7 will still be available with 1.5 and 2.0 petrol turbo engines, but they have different settings. So, the base engine produces 150 hp. and 230 Nm, two-liter – 192 hp. and 320 Nm. The 1.5T engine of its predecessor has the same power, but the torque is higher – 280 Nm. The output of the 2.0T of the old “seven” is 190 hp. and 340 Nm. The second generation crossover will be offered with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two “wet” clutches. And the new SUV with a 1.5-liter engine is exclusively front-wheel drive, while the previous Haval F7 with 1.5T has a 4WD version. Crossover with 2.0T, as before, all-wheel drive by default.

Sales of the second generation Haval F7 should start before the end of summer, prices have not yet been announced. The predecessor, produced in 2024, now costs from 2,449,000 rubles. By the way, the first-generation crossover for the Russian Federation is produced locally — probably the new “Seven” is also registered at the Tula Haweil plant.
