The President's appearance has sparked a new wave of controversy over plastic surgeons
During the broadcast of the first US presidential debate on CNN between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, Biden's facial appearance became the center of attention for viewers who took to the Internet to analyze it.
During the US presidential debates, all eyes were on not just the politics, but also the seemingly changed appearance of Joe Biden, sparking a flurry of speculation online.
One puzzled viewer exclaimed: «Biden has a new face!» while another exclaimed: «His face looks so weird.» A confirmed skeptic declared: «That's not Biden. I don't care who you are. His face is melting.» Someone else remarked: «Biden's face isn't moving at all.»
The excitement surrounding the incumbent's face makeover has also led to comments on his toned appearance. Leading plastic surgeons took part in the discussion.
Cosmetic surgeon Gary Moticki shared his thoughts on social networks: “I estimate that Joe Biden has spent up to $100,000 on plastic surgery in recent years!” His colleague Dr. Yoel Shachar noted: “He looks completely different. The estimated cost of cosmetic repairs to Biden's face is estimated at between $40,000 and $250,000.”
The Irish Star reports that Atlanta surgeon Nicholas Jones said: «If we look closely at his sideburns, we can see straight, unnatural edges that could be a clear sign of a facelift scar.»
Rep. Greg Murphy of North Carolina has previously helped fuel such discussions. In an interview with Fox Business back in July 2023, he mentioned, “Look at Joe. He’s had so much plastic surgery, so much Botox, so much filler.” Murphy, a former professor of surgery and chair of the urology department at East Carolina University School of Medicine, has experience performing such cosmetic procedures, so some may consider him an expert in the field.
Recall that on June 27, the first presidential debate took place on CNN between the two candidates for the post of head of the country.
The first to speak was incumbent US leader Joe Biden, who publicly called Donald Trump a criminal in response to the former president’s previous comments about war veterans who died in service.
Joe Biden also accused Trump of owing billions in court fines. In response, Trump commented on the recent conviction of the president's son Hunter Biden, to which Biden responded that Trump was «the only criminal on stage,» then criticized him for «sex with a porn star» and said his opponent had «the morals of a stray cat.»
During the debate, Donald Trump said Biden would drag the world into World War III.
