Plane flying from Moscow to Ufa makes emergency landing in Samara

SAMARA, July 31 An airplane flying from Moscow to Ufa made an emergency landing at Samara's Kurumoch Airport due to the activation of a smoke detector in the rear compartment, the Volga Transport Prosecutor's Office reported in its Telegram channel.
«According to preliminary data, on July 31, 2024, in the evening, an Aeroflot aircraft, operating a flight on the Moscow-Ufa route, landed at Kurumoch airport due to the activation of the rear compartment smoke sensor. The circumstances of the incident are being established,» the prosecutor's office said in a statement.
An assistant to the Kuibyshev transport prosecutor has left for Kurumoch, and a mobile reception room is open for passengers at the airport. The supervisory agency will check the circumstances of the incident and, if there are grounds, will take response measures.

The Volga Region Transport Prosecutor's Office clarified that there were 176 passengers on board, and no one was injured as a result of the incident. The supervisory authority monitors compliance with passenger rights.
