EKATERINBURG, August 1 An unscheduled inspection of gas equipment has been scheduled in apartment buildings in Yekaterinburg following the emergency in Nizhny Tagil, the head of the Ural capital, Alexei Orlov, reported on his Telegram channel.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the first and second entrances of a five-story apartment building in Nizhny Tagil collapsed due to an explosion of a gas-air mixture.
«I instructed my deputy, who oversees housing and utilities issues, to conduct an unscheduled inspection of gas equipment in apartment buildings,» Orlov wrote.
He specified that volunteers from the «We Are Nearby» center have left for Nizhny Tagil, and water and food will be sent to the city tomorrow.
