TEHRAN, Aug. 2 Former Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has been appointed Vice President for Strategic Affairs by decree of newly elected President Masoud Pezeshkian, the Iranian news agency Tasnim reports.
«By decree, the president appointed Mohammad Javad Zarif as strategic deputy president,» the statement said.
It is also noted that Pezeshkian also appointed Mohammad Jaafar Kaem Panah, the second vice president for affairs of the office of the head of the executive power of Iran, by decree.
