Patrushev noted that the Saratov Region is one of the leading industrial and agricultural regions of the Volga Federal District, and the share of agriculture in the gross regional product is almost 15%.
«The government, for its part, is sending significant funds to the Saratov region to support the agro-industrial complex and develop rural areas: in 2024 — about 2.5 billion rubles,» his words are quoted in the report.
According to Patrushev, despite the death of more than 50 thousand hectares of winter crops from May frosts, farmers were able to quickly replant. The new harvest is already underway, the release notes.
«Currently, an investment project is being implemented here to plant a super-intensive garden with over 3,500 trees per hectare with an investment volume of 25 million rubles. Its completion is planned for 2025,» the report says.
