MOSCOW, August 2 The new BRICS financial system will lead to the inevitable economic destruction of the United States, businessman and former owner of the largest file sharing service Megaupload Kim Dotcom writes on the X social network.
“The US government borrows ten billion dollars every day. The States print money at the expense of other countries that use the dollar as a reserve currency. The new BRICS financial system will put an end to this global theft and will cause the inevitable economic destruction of the United States,” Dotcom claims.
Speaker of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko reported that BRICS may create a multilateral digital settlement and payment platform, BRICS Bridge. According to her, the corresponding report is currently being prepared by the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Russia.
The US budget deficit, according to the latest data from the Federal Reserve, is $1.27 trillion, and the national debt is at a record high of $34.95 trillion. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) noted in its report in July that the increase in US national debt has led to the US investment position in the world deteriorating from minus 61% of GDP in 2022 to minus 71% in 2023.
