MOSCOW, August 2 Russia's tough stance on the possibility of exchange has yielded results, and Russians have returned to their homeland, said Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
Peskov recalled that during an interview, American journalist Tucker Carlson asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to hand over convicted Americans as a gesture of goodwill.
«Then Putin told him that there can be no gestures of goodwill here. When ours are handed over, then we can talk about it. This tough stance has yielded results, and our people have returned to their homeland thanks to this stance,» Peskov told reporters.
