MOSCOW, August 4. Russian mixed martial artist, former champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Khabib Nurmagomedov shared his opinion regarding the possible end of the career of American Tony Ferguson.
The day before, the MMA veteran lost early to Michael Chiesa and suffered his eighth defeat in a row. After the fight, Ferguson admitted that he does not want to end his career and will make a decision about his future after talking with his family.

"I just want to wish him all the best. He is truly one of the best in the history of the UFC. His life is just beginning, since he ended his career. He will have a different life, much better. Believe me. Do I regret that our fight never happened? Of course. Because we were in our prime, at the peak (of our form). <…> Sometimes we make plans, but the Almighty has his own plan. And we cannot influence it,» the UFC press service quotes the Russian as saying.
Khabib's fight with Ferguson was cancelled five times due to injuries to athletes and the coronavirus pandemic.
