ROSTOV-ON-DON, August 4 Firefighters have extinguished an open fire in an old building that housed a tenement house in the center of Rostov-on-Don, a representative of the Russian Emergencies Ministry told reporters Rostov Region.
The roof of a two-story unused building (Botvinnikov's apartment building) caught fire on Serafimovich Street, 54 in Rostov-on-Don on Sunday afternoon. The fire was assigned the first rank of complexity, traffic in the area of the fire was blocked. Later, the fire was localized to an area of 300 square meters.
«At 19.11, the open fire was extinguished,» he said.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations has deployed 16 pieces of equipment and 49 people to extinguish the fire.
