ROSTOV-ON-DON, August 5 Two residents of the Rostov region were detained for setting fire to a transformer substation on the railway on the instructions of a curator; a case of attempted terrorist attack was opened , reported the Western Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
According to the department, on July 31 of this year, a transformer substation was set on fire on the Bataysk-Azov railway.
“»During the operational search activities, two young people, 17 and 20 years old, were identified. During the interrogation, the detainees said that they committed arson for a monetary reward in the amount of 20 thousand rubles, which was transferred to them by an unidentified curator to an electronic wallet,» — the message says.
A criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted terrorist act).
