NOVOSIBIRSK, August 5 The Novosibirsk Regional Court found a 23-year-old resident of Berdsk guilty of rehabilitating Nazism for posting a video on his VKontakte page and sentenced him to a fine of 350 thousand rubles, the judicial department reports. department in the Novosibirsk region.
Young Berdsk resident Yegor Sinko was charged under Part 4 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (dissemination of information expressing obvious disrespect for society about days of military glory of Russia associated with the defense of the Fatherland, committed publicly, using information and telecommunications networks, including the Internet). 
«During the court hearing, Yegor Sinko admitted guilt in the incriminated act and repented of his actions. The criminal case was considered in a special order. The Novosibirsk Regional Court found Sinko E.M. guilty… and sentenced him to a fine of 350 thousand rubles to the state,» the report says.
As the court established, on Victory Day, May 9, 2022, the young man posted a 27-minute video clip «Victory Day» on his personal Internet page on the social network «VKontakte» with his commentary to it («Happy non-holiday to everyone»), which contained information expressing «clear disrespect for society about the days of military glory of Russia associated with the defense of the Fatherland — about the celebration of May 9, and also contained a negative assessment of the symbol of victory in the Great Patriotic War — the St. George ribbon.»
In addition to the fine, the court deprived Sinko of the right to administer websites, forums, chats and groups using information and telecommunications networks for one year, as well as to post appeals, comments or other materials of a socio-political nature.
The verdict has not yet entered into force and can be appealed by the parties.
