Captain Missing on Lena River After Vessel Capsules

The press service of the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia reported on Telegram about an emergency involving a motorboat on the Lena River in Eastern Siberia.
The department clarified that the watercraft capsized on a section of the river near the village of Solyanka in the Olekminsky District of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). At that moment, there were four people in the boat, including the captain. The latter is missing. The search for him is currently underway.
«The Yakutsk Investigative Department for Transport is conducting a pre-investigation check under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Violation of the rules for the safety of movement and operation of water transport,» the report says.
