Zelensky's office acknowledges Ukrainian military fatigue

MOSCOW, August 5 Adviser to the head of Volodymyr Zelensky's office Mykhailo Podolyak acknowledged the fatigue of Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines.
«Of course, there is fatigue… People do not fully understand how it will develop, where certain agreements will go. People are tired of the monotonous uniformity, and it is extremely negative. You are sitting in poor conditions, there are shortages, I mean weapons, resources,» Podolyak said in an interview with the YouTube channel of Ukrainian TV presenter Natalia Vlashchenko, answering the question of whether those on the front lines are tired.

Earlier, the Spanish newspaper Pais wrote that Kyiv was stepping up mobilization because it could not recruit people willing to serve in the Ukrainian Armed Forces due to the weakening morale of the country's population.

Martial law was introduced in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, and the next day, Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization. Men aged 18 to 60 are prohibited from leaving Ukraine during the period of martial law. In October, Time magazine, citing Zelensky's aide, reported that the ranks of the Ukrainian troops had thinned so much that military registration and enlistment offices were forced to call up people whose average age was 43.
