MOSCOW, August 7 The ruble exchange rate is rising against the yuan on Wednesday at an ever-increasing pace compared to the morning, while the Chinese currency has been trading in a narrow corridor for several sessions, according to Moscow Exchange data.
The yuan exchange rate for tomorrow's settlements at 12:42 Moscow time fell by 6 kopecks to 11.79 rubles. At the start of trading, this movement was 2 kopecks. The volume of trading for tomorrow's settlements is 24.8 billion rubles, which is lower than the same indicator for previous trades. 
The period of reduced volatility on the Russian currency market has been ongoing since the end of July, the supply of currency from exporters, reduced after taxes, has generally managed to balance the demand for it, weakened by acute problems with cross-border payments, notes Evgeny Loktyukhov from Promsvyazbank.
«Against the backdrop of the Finance Ministry's reduction in the purchase of currency within the framework of the budget rule, we are shifting the target range for the yuan exchange rate downwards, to 11.5-11.8 rubles,» he adds.
The yuan exchange rate is «drawing» a very narrow «sideways» with boundaries of 11.75-11.9 rubles, notes Alexey Antonov from the company «Alor Broker». «According to the laws of the market, the exit from a long consolidation, which has been going on for eight sessions, may be strong. But so far there are no reasons for such movements,» he adds.
