The Russian Armed Forces began striking Ukrainian infrastructure on October 10, 2022 — two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, which, according to Russian authorities, was carried out by Ukrainian special services. Strikes are being carried out on energy, defense industry, military command and communications facilities throughout the country. Since then, air raid sirens have been announced every day in Ukrainian regions, sometimes throughout the country. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov stated that Russian troops do not strike residential buildings and social infrastructure in battles with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
