On Tuesday, Dvali said that he had undergone surgery on his damaged eye, which lasted about four hours. The boxer noted that his eye, retina, lens, and inner side of the shell were destroyed.
«Dima's first operation was successful, but unfortunately, one operation is not enough. They will do a second one, but it is not yet known when exactly,» Farkhutdinov said.
Dvali, the European boxing champion in the 54-kilogram weight category, received a serious eye injury in a fight. According to the boxer, he and his friend saw that a crowd on the embankment was beating a guy who was at least 25 years old, and stood up for him. After that, the hooligans attacked the athlete, punched and kicked him, and one blow with the end of a boot hit him in the eye. The court arrested nine participants in the mass brawl in Feodosia, accused of attempting to murder Dvali, until September 29.
