MOSCOW, August 9 Moscow's Torpedo will host Nizhnekamsk's Neftekhimik in a match of the sixth round of the Russian First League Championship at the large arena of the Luzhniki sports complex. The game will be dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the capital's football club, according to the official Telegram channel of the car factory workers.
The meeting will take place on Saturday, August 17, and will begin at 19:24. The start time of the match makes a reference to the 100th anniversary of the «black and whites».
Also on the day of the match the club will hold a number of festive events, there will be a historical quest through the decades of the club, an exhibition of game T-shirts, fan scarves, a photo zone with the main trophies won by Torpedo, phygital football, as well as a concert of the Moscow punk rock band Clockwork Times (CWT). Tickets for the game will cost from 300 to six thousand rubles.
Last season Torpedo played some of its home matches at Luzhniki, but this season the team played at the Arena Khimki near Moscow.
The founding date of Torpedo is August 17, 1924. The Avtozavodtsy team is a three-time USSR champion (1960, 1965, 1976 — fall), six-time winner of the Soviet Union Cup (1949, 1952, 1960, 1968, 1972, 1986), and also the winner of the first Russian Cup in 1993.
