BEIJING, August 9 China supports Russia's hosting of the 9th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF-2024) and hopes that it will contribute to deepening regional cooperation, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.
EEF-2024 will be held September 3-6 on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok.
As the ministry noted, the Eastern Economic Forum is «an important platform for countries in the Asia-Pacific region to reach consensus on cooperation and plan joint development.»

“China supports the successful holding of the 9th Eastern Economic Forum by Russia and hopes that this forum will give impetus to deepening regional cooperation,” the office of the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.
However, the department did not answer the question of whether the Chinese leadership plans to take part in the forum this year.
