KUBINKA (Moscow Region), August 12The Russian armored personnel carrier BTR-22, which is undergoing testing, has confirmed the declared level of reliability of anti-drone protection, a representative of the Military-Industrial Company reported at the static exhibition of the Army-2024 forum.
The BTR-22 with a complex of protective anti-drone screens was demonstrated at the static exhibition as part of the Army-2024 forum. 
«The declared level of anti-drone protection of the BTR-22 was confirmed during testing. The Mangal type protective screen complex demonstrated its high anti-cumulative and ballistic characteristics,» said a company representative.
The BTR-22 is designed to replace the BTR-82A, to transport personnel of motorized rifle units to the battlefield, provide fire support, as well as to transport military cargo, tow trailers and provide protection for the combat crew located inside the armored personnel carrier. After passing all stages of testing, the BTR-22 will be sent to the troops.
The Army-2024 forum is being held in the Patriot Park near Moscow from August 12 to 14.
