MOSCOW, August 12 A former police officer at the Moscow metro will stand trial for fraud and bribery, according to the Telegram channel of the capital's main Investigative Committee of Russia.
«The investigation of the criminal case against the former police officer has been completed… The investigation has collected a sufficient amount of evidence, in connection with which the criminal case has been sent to court for consideration on the merits,» the statement says. 
He is charged with fraud (19 counts), bribery (4 counts), mediation in fraud, petty bribery, and abuse of office (2 counts)
According to the investigation, from 2019 to In 2023, a police officer at the Moscow Metro received bribes for failing to take administrative action against foreigners. In addition, while on duty, he «committed a number of official crimes.»
