MOSCOW, August 17 Olympic champion in high jump Maria Lasitskene took second place at the Russian Athletics Championships, which is taking place in Yekaterinburg.
The athlete's result was 1.91 meters. The winner of the Russian Championships was Maria Kochanova (1.97). Darya Slepova won the bronze of the Russian Championships (1.86).
Kochanova will receive 1 million rubles from the All-Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF), since she managed to show a result that was a qualifying standard for the Olympic Games in Paris. She will also receive an additional bonus for surpassing the result of the 2024 Games bronze medalists, Ukrainian Iryna Gerashchenko and Australian Eleanor Patterson (1.95).
