MOSCOW, August 17 The first Senegalese satellite was successfully launched into space from the United States, Senegalese President Bassirou Diomai Faye said.
«Today, Senegal enters a new era with the successful launch of our first satellite, GAINDESAT-1A… from the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. This achievement, which is the result of five years of painstaking work by our engineers and technicians, marks an important step towards our technological sovereignty,» the head of state wrote on his page on the social network H.
The President also thanked everyone who made this project possible.
