Maygurov announced when Burtasova will arrive at the Olympic Games in Beijing

Biathlete of the Russian women's national team Evgenia Burtasova will arrive to the Olympic Games in Beijing on the morning of February 3, said the head of the Russian Biathlon Union Viktor Maigurov. Burtasova will replace Valeria Vasnetsova in the Olympic team, who passed two positive tests for coronavirus in Beijing and was forced to quarantine. From January 26 to January 30, Burtasova took part in the European Championship in Arber, Germany, where she won two gold medals — in the individual race and the single mixed relay with Anton Babikov. The Beijing Olympic Games will be held from February 4 to 20.
