SIMFEROPOL, Mar 22 Former Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea, ex-Rector of the Crimean Federal University ( KFU) named after Vernadsky Sergey Donich passed away, his assistant Viktor Bridko told RIA Novosti. 60 years. He began his career as a nurse in the department of anesthesiology and resuscitation of the Republican Clinical Hospital named after N. A. Semashko. For many years he served as Minister of Health of the Crimea. Then he became the first vice-speaker of the parliament of the republic. During the «Crimean Spring» he took the post of Deputy Prime Minister of the government and oversaw the healthcare sector. From October 2014 to August 2017 he was the rector of the Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky.
