MOSCOW, Mar 24 Trade of Russian striker Evgeny Dadonov from Vegas Golden Knights «in the Anaheim Ducks was declared invalid, according to the National Hockey League (NHL) website. The deal violated the no-trade clause, which was included in the Russian's three-year contract with the Ottawa Senators, concluded in October 2020. Dadonov with an average annual salary of 5 million dollars was supposed to go to Anaheim on the last day of the transfer period in the NHL. In return, Vegas was supposed to receive defender John Moore and the contract of forward Ryan Kesler, who, due to an injury, has not been on the ice since the 2018/19 season. It was expected that the transfer of the Russians to another club will help the Golden Knights to free up space on the payroll.
