In the Lyublinsky District Court of Moscow, the state prosecution refused most of the episodes of the prosecution in the case of Vladimir Vorontsov, the founder of the public «Police Ombudsman». Lawyer Fyodor Aksenenko told Mediazona about this.
As the defense lawyer clarified, today, July 18, the prosecution refused nine episodes of Vorontsov's accusation. These are seven episodes about insulting a representative of the authorities, one episode about defamationand one — o extortion. One of the episodes about insulting a policeman is also subject to a statute of limitations.

There were 14 episodes in the case of the former policeman: two were about extortion, three were about distribution of pornography, one for slander and eight for insulting a government official. Aksenenko clarified that today the debate may begin in court.
The investigation accused Vorontsov of extorting 300 thousand rubles from a Moscow police officer «for not distributing his photographs of an intimate nature.» The Investigative Committee claims that “he made similar actions to post photos in September 2018, as well as in February 2020 in relation to another police officer.”

One of the criminal cases on pornography was initiated at the request of a woman who demanded to “bring to justice those who disseminated her intimate photos on social networks” reported to the Interior Ministry. According to investigators, during the correspondence Vorontsov forced the woman to send him intimate videos and demanded to pay him 30 thousand rubles for refusing to publish them.
In addition, according to the IC, Vorontsov published in his group “insults active employees of the internal affairs bodies and materials of deliberately false information discrediting the honor and dignity of one of the lawyers of the Moscow region.
