Politician Aleksey Navalny filed a lawsuit against strict regime correctional colony No. 6 in the Vladimir region, where he was transferred in mid-June. This was reported by the joint press service of the regional courts.
The politician's statement of claim was received by the Kovrov City Court on August 10. It is due to the fact that the leadership of the colony refused to provide the lawyer with information about the customer of the products that Navalny produces. This decision in IK-6 was explained by the lack of consent of customers to disseminate information about the place of manufacture of their products.
“Navalny A.A. believes that the legislation does not provide such a basis for refusing to provide information to a lawyer, which means that the refusal is unlawful, illegal and unreasonable,” the press service of the courts added.
The politician was sent to IK-6 after another sentence — the Lefortovo court at an off-site meeting in Pokrovskaya IK-2 appointed the oppositionist nine years in a strict regime colony. Navalny was found guilty of fraudulently collecting donations and contempt of court in another criminal case involving defamation of veteran Ignat Artemenko.
Before that, the oppositionist was in Pokrovskaya IK-2, since in February 2021 the court replaced his suspended sentence in the Yves Rocher case with a real one. While serving his term, Navalny repeatedly filed lawsuits against pre-trial detention centers and colonies, but the courts rejected them.
