MOSCOW, Aug 27 The organizers of the Belgian Grand Prix made a mistake with the choice of the Russian flag racer Alexander Smolyar for the awards ceremony for the winner and prize-winners of the first race of the seventh stage of the Formula 3 championship, taking place at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Smolyar finished third in the first Formula 3 race. During the ceremony, the flag of Andorra was raised above the Russian on the podium. During the awards at the stages in Hungary and Bahrain, instead of the Russian flag, there was a white flag over Smolyar. In February, the International Automobile Federation (FIA) announced the cancellation of the Russian stage » Formula 1″ against the backdrop of the situation in Ukraine and allowed Russian drivers to take part in competitions only in a neutral status.
