In Vladimir, the artist was sentenced to 8 months of restriction of freedom in the case of two graffiti “No to war”

The magistrate of the Oktyabrsky district of Vladimir sentenced the artist Anton Ganyushkin to 8 months of restriction of freedom because of anti-war graffiti on a bridge support and a building in the industrial zone. This was announced in his telegram channel by the head of the human rights «Agora» Pavel Chikov.

Ganyushkin was found guilty in the case of vandalism motivated by political hatred (Part 2 of Article 214 of the Criminal Code). According to the verdict, he is forbidden to leave the district, change his place of residence without notice, and report to the inspection once a month. Earlier, Ganyushkin also compensated for damage to the property of the municipal institution «Improvement» in the amount of 21.1 thousand rubles.

On the night of March 2, large inscriptions «No to war» appeared in the area of Erofeevsky descent and near the Lybidskaya highway in Vladimir. The drawings were soon painted over by public utilities, and the security forces began to look not only for the authors of the graffiti, but also for the journalists of Argument, who were the first to publish pictures of the drawings on their Telegram channel.

Three days later, several employees of the publication were searched. Later, Argument named the names of three artists detained in the case of vandalism — in addition to Ganyushkin, these are Denis Savenko and Denis Sinyukhin. =»mz-publish-context-cite__image» alt=»1″ />Article Valuable witness.
