
MOSCOW, April 4 The State Duma is preparing amendments to the Criminal Code to ban trash streams, the relevant document is available.
The package of bills provides creation of a special registry — people who got there will be banned from using the Internet for one year from the date the court verdict enters into force.
The basis for listing will be a court decision on criminal liability for the distribution of trash streams and content that falls under the rule on the distribution of photo or video materials depicting acts committed with particular cruelty or bullying.
Distribution of illegal content involving minors will threaten persons previously subjected to administrative liability:
- restriction or imprisonment for up to two years;
- correctional or forced labor up to two years;
- compulsory labor for up to 480 hours;
- a fine of up to two million rubles.
As noted by one of the authors of the documents, the head of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy, Artem Metelev, in order to deprive trash streamers of an audience and stop promoting them , the deputies provided for an amendment to the law on the media: the media will prohibit publishing information about persons included in the register, with the exception of information from public authorities.
