MOSCOW, Apr 21 Checking declarations of Kremlin officials are still underway, the process takes a long time, said the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
Declarations were submitted by April 1, after which the anti-corruption division of the presidential administration began to check them. Publication of documents this year is not expected.
«Checks have been going on for a long time,» said the source of the agency, answering the question whether the process of checking declarations has been completed or is still underway.
In December, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree suspending the publication of officials' declarations for the period of a special military operation. As Peskov explained to journalists in April, at the same time, the entire basis for anti-corruption work is preserved: the main thing is not publication, but the submission of documents. According to him, all checks by special bodies are organized in the same scrupulous manner as before, nothing has changed in this regard.
