DONETSK, April 27 Four teenagers aged 12 to 14 were injured when an explosive object detonated in the Proletarsky district of Donetsk, the type of explosive device is being specified, reported on Thursday at the DPR office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC).
According to preliminary information received earlier, the children were injured when an anti-personnel mine PFM-1 «Petal» was triggered.
«City of Donetsk (Proletarsky district): as a result of an explosion of an explosive object along Lipetskaya Street, 79, four children were injured of varying severity : boys born in 2010 and 2011, two guys born in 2009,» the ministry's telegram channel said.
As noted in the report, the nature of the consequences of the explosion does not allow talking about the detonation of an anti-personnel mine of the «Petal» type, eyewitnesses report that teenagers tried to push an unknown object off the road, which subsequently exploded.
Specialists are establishing the source of the explosion, the department added.
