Erdogan gives first interview since stomach flu

ANKARA, Apr 30 Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, for the first time since suffered from stomach flu, gives interviews to a number of Turkish TV channels, said that he feels well.

On Friday, Erdogan connected online to the opening ceremony of a new bridge in the city of Adana, and on Saturday he personally participated in the Teknofest festival in Istanbul.

«Better, thank God. You noticed that we have already restored our program on the ground,» Erdogan told reporters.

The presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey are scheduled for May 14. The final list of candidates included the current head of state, 69-year-old Erdogan as a candidate from the «Republican Alliance», the candidate from the opposition «People's Alliance» 74-year-old Kilichdaroglu, as well as the leader of the Memleket party, 58-year-old Muharrem Ince and 55-year-old candidate from the alliance Ata Sinan Ogan. The second round of elections, if none of the candidates receives more than 50% of the votes, will be held on May 28.
