Medvedev: over 117,000 enlisted in military service as of January 1, 2023
At a meeting on recruitment for military service under a contract, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said that the number of contract soldiers and Volunteers accepted into the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation since January 1, 2023, exceeded 117 thousand.
In total, 117 thousand 400 citizens were accepted into the Armed Forces for the contract and within the framework of voluntary formations, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council specified.
< p>At the meeting, Medvedev suggested discussing the situation with the selection of Russians for service under the contract, as well as the pace of this recruitment.
