The South Sakhalinsk garrison military court sentenced serviceman Alexander Pushankin to seven years in a strict regime penal colony for breaking the lip of a senior in rank; he was stripped of his rank of sergeant. Sibir.Realii drew attention to the press release of the court.
According to the criminal case card on the court website, Pushankin was found guilty of violent acts against the chief during his military service duties during the period of mobilization (part 3 articles 334 of the Criminal Code).
According to investigators, on February 16, 2023, a serviceman, while in the premises of the military unit’s park duty officer, punched the “head of military rank and official position” in the face. Thus, Pushankin caused slight harm to the health of the commander in the form of a lacerated and bruised wound of the upper lip.
As specified in the press service of the court, the reason for the act of the serviceman was dissatisfaction with the exactingness of the chief. In addition, the publication focuses on the period of mobilization that lasted during the conflict between Pushankin and his commander. The authorities talked about the end of the mobilization in October last year, but Vladimir Putin did not sign a separate decree on its termination, so the mobilization did not actually end.
