ATLANTA, Aug 25 Former US President Donald Trump became the first ever head of state — former or present — who was photographed during his arrest, the so-called ex-president's mugshot was distributed by the Fulton County Sheriff's Office.
Earlier, Trump arrived at a prison in the state of Georgia, where a fourth criminal case is being considered against him for trying to «racketeer» methods to replay the results of the 2020 presidential election in the state in his favor.
In the previous three cases, Trump «surrendered to the authorities» in a courthouse where his mugshot was not taken.
Trump's arrest lasted about half an hour, he was released on bail in the amount of 200 thousand dollars in agreement with the authorities.
Trump himself does not recognize the accusations against him in any of the cases. Leaving Georgia, he said that he had done nothing wrong, and that the investigations against him were a parody of justice.
The first court hearing involving Trump in the case of interference in the elections in Georgia is scheduled for early September. The accusations will be formally read to him and he will be asked to answer whether he pleads guilty or not.
